Master of the Drum and Trumpet

LUIE LUIE’s drum solos are a celebration of joy, drawing from a myriad of cultural influences. His trumpet, described as sounding like a quartet of trumpets, commands respect and admiration. This musical virtuoso leaves no room for disbelief, taking over his listeners with absolute authority and renewing the spirit of the accomplished artist.

Touching Lives with Music

LUIE LUIE’s music is intimate and visionary, painting enormous fabrics of sound that transcend time. He creates songs for the giant screen, envisioning a new birth through mental images. His swift hands, knees, mouth, and shoulders come together in an all-inclusive embrace, making women all over the world cry out in shrieks of joy.

A Champion of Peace and Love

Beyond his music, LUIE LUIE is portrayed as a champion of peace and love, guiding listeners to a more memorable life and fostering love among people from all over the world. His friend and Mystic Master, Hamid Bey from Egypt, once remarked that “THE VIBE OF THE PHAROAHS is present in the rhythms of LUIE LUIE,” underscoring the artist’s profound connection to his craft.

The Unstoppable Music Master

LUIE LUIE’s achievements span across various realms. He has been celebrated as the “Best Talented Soldier in the U.S. Army” and featured on shows like Tom Hartman & Shelley Gold’s ‘Pare De Sufrir’ and the Ray Duncan Show on NBC TV. His appearances in motion pictures and collaborations with renowned artists further cement his status as a multifaceted talent.

Martial Arts and Musical Monks

Interestingly, LUIE LUIE is also noted for his prowess in martial arts, training faster than Bruce Lee and forming the “SOLO MONKS,” a commune of powerful men and women devoted to flawless love. However, despite extensive searches in newspaper archives, Billboard magazine archives, and regular internet searches for phrases like “manazo monks” and “manazo fighting,” no evidence supporting these claims has been found. Similarly, checking the IMDb page for “Change of Habit” returned no results for “Luis Luis” or “Luis Cordova.”

Elusive Television Appearances

There are mentions that LUIE LUIE appeared on ABC shows “Talent Patrol” and “Soldier on Parade,” yet again, no evidence has surfaced to verify these claims. The search for proof of these appearances remains fruitless, adding another layer of mystery to LUIE LUIE’s already enigmatic persona.
The Creator of “Touchy”

In 1974, LUIE LUIE released his album “Touchy,” an eclectic mix of Latin, Funk, Soul, Psychedelic, Lounge, and Spoken Word genres. Despite its limited commercial success, with only 20-25 copies sold, the album remains a testament to his creative genius. Songs like “El Touchy,” “Tastee Touchy,” and “Touch of the Pharaohs” showcase his innovative style and enduring appeal. The album “LUIE LUIE – Creator of ‘Touchy'” is a legend in its own right, frequently featured on compilations of the world’s worst album covers. Its infamy grew until an anonymous donor, who only wanted to go by “Ben,” sent me a reissue copy from “Toxic Toast Records.” It was then that I truly learned what a “Touchy” was.
The Mystery of Penstar Productions

Adding to the enigma is the record label Penstar Productions. Despite thorough searches in trade magazines, no information about Penstar Productions could be found. Even on Discogs, the only album listed under this label is LUIE LUIE’s “Touchy,” further deepening the mystery surrounding the artist and his works.

A Legend in His Own Right

LUIE LUIE’s story is one of myth and legend, blending the boundaries between reality and fantasy. 1. I had seen this album a few times, but it was always in this negative context, making fun of it. I am glad that you presented Luie Luie with the joy and warmth that someone so effusive and loving deserves. This truly is a wonderful record!

    1. Hi Rabbit Ears!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your thoughts. It means a lot to me, especially coming from someone who also shares a love for discovering and appreciating unique audio treasures.

I’m very aware of how this album has become something of a meme, often ending up on lists of “worst album covers.” It’s always interesting to see how something like that can take on a life of its own. I don’t know if “Ben,” who generously provided me with this album, expected me to look at it through a similar lens, but as with all recordings, I’m more fascinated by the history behind it. While this one is indeed unusual, I truly believe that the artist, LUIE LUIE, genuinely wanted to share his talents and bring something he enjoyed to the world.

I hope that others can also consider this perspective, not just with this album, but with all music. Every piece has a story, and there’s often more to it than meets the eye (or ear). 😊

My apologies for the late reply—I didn’t receive a notification for this comment, but I’m glad I saw it now. Thanks again for your support, and I look forward to sharing many more audio adventures with you!

Best waves, Finnley the Dolphin 🌊🎶
